Emily Thomas (Short Mat Player)
An A to Z of Team Taylor
Emily Thomas (Short Mat Player)
Emily Thomas was born in Dorset in 1997 and is a member of the ESMBA and the DSMBA. She has been in the England Squad from 2016-22 and Dorset Premier player since 2014. In 2012 Emily started to play short mat bowls after months of being encouraged by her Mum and became addicted straight away!
Which model/size of Taylor bowl do you enjoy playing with and why?
Emily says: "At the moment I play with size 4 Internationals, which I think are a great all-round bowl for Short Mat. The Taylor Team are all friendly and helpful - their products are well designed and 100% reliable."
Emily has also started playing with size 4 Aces for faster short mat carpets!
In the bowling world who do you most admire and why?
"I wouldn't say I admire one individual bowler but I do look up to any top player who still has the upmost respect for other players whatever their ability."
Favourites:- Emily's favourite films are The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Emily enjoys watching all types of sports, especially her favourite tennis player, Rafael Nadal.
